Our family
Built by a family. Guided by care.
Animal People began with Zach and Mychal Storer, their children, and a belief that curiosity can grow into responsibility when people have a meaningful way to connect with living things.
Explore what we do

Welcome to Animal People
We’re a family on a mission.
That mission is simple: to help everyone understand just how important it is to take care of our planet and all the creatures—big, small, furry, scaly, or leafy—that call it home.
It all started with our love for animals and a fascination with the environment. From backyard adventures to wildlife explorations, we realized that protecting our ecosystem is about more than admiring nature—it’s about taking responsibility for it. That’s why we created Animal People: a place where we can share our passion and help others connect with the world around them.
At Animal People, we’re all about educating and inspiring. Through workshops, fun events, and hands-on learning experiences, we bring people closer to nature while showing them how every action can make a difference. From the tiniest insect to the tallest tree, we’re here to remind people that all living things are connected.
As a family-run business, Animal People is built on values that matter to us—kindness, responsibility, and a lot of curiosity. We believe learning should be fun, and our goal is to make environmental awareness something people of all ages can get excited about.
Meet the family behind Animal People
Animal People is run by Zach and Mychal Storer, but our company is truly a family affair. While we may be the owners, the heart and soul of Animal People thrive thanks to the unwavering help and support of our immediate family and friends.
Our son, Blake, and daughter, Jude, are animal lovers through and through. We’re teaching them the importance of love and respect for all living creatures and our ecosystem every day. Their passion and curiosity remind us why we started this journey and push us to keep sharing our mission with the world.
Our extended family is just as much a part of the Animal People story. Grandmas Stephanie, Anna—also known as Mimi—and Kathy, along with Great Grandma Cheryl, or GG, have been pillars of support from the very beginning. Uncle Seth, Aunt Liz and their girls, and Justin and the girls are an important part of the work, too.
Friends including Nicole, Danielle, Colt, Krystal, and Ben are always ready to lend a hand at our events, and Adrian of Unique Aquariums provides us with anything we need, anytime, to care for our animals. We simply couldn’t do what we do without their dedication and the countless others who believe in our mission.
And, of course, we couldn’t succeed without the amazing support from all of you. Whether you’re just beginning your journey toward environmentally conscious living or you’re already an animal advocate, we’d love to connect with you. Together, we are making a difference—one animal and one ecosystem at a time.
